Solestar cover: Final version

It's always good working with people who have strict standards when it comes to their work. It brushes off on you and, take note, it makes you a better artist. This is what happened when I had to do some tweaking on the Solestar cover that Sean Galloway did.

After the first image was submitted, Sean had a few corrections and some suggestions. It was pretty awesome working under the direction of one of the best there is, I tell ya! And, well, he appreciated that I took every suggestion openly:

And here we are with the final version of the cover! According to him, the character in the front, which is Boom, should have colors and elements that should tie in with the big bad monster at the back named Cloud. It all worked awesomely ^_____^

Solestar Cover!

Hey, fellas! This is a cover for Solestar, a comic book that was mean to raise funds for brain aneurysm research and for its victims. The project is spearheaded by Siike Donnelly, who, himself, is a survivor.

The project got over 60 professional artists from around the world to pitch in and contribute through whatever means they can. I got to illustrate a page, I got to color 2 pages and then I got word from Siike that I'll be coloring a cover--drawn by no other than the epic Sean Galloway!

So here it is! THANKS!

Another collaborative piece I did with Ms. Aileen Oracion! It's nice how Top Cow Artifacts characters have that "thing" in their names. I can't quite put a finger on it but their names all seem so cool.

Anyway, this piece was colored through Photoshop! I'm actually thinking of posting a Step-by-step blog in the future to show my process. Whatchathinks?

Hey, guys! Happy New Year! My blog-related New Year's resolution revolves around me actually updating my blog for all of you :) Yes, I find that I get lazy so I am very sorry.

Anyways, here's my first collaborative piece with the very talented Aileen Oracion (http://inkworthy.deviantart.com).
